Season of Secrets
It’s been suggested to me that I ought to do a news piece on Season of Secrets, as it’s been called three different names on this site already.
Season of Secrets, otherwise known as Book Two, is coming out in April in Britain. You can pre-order it here.
It will make me very happy if you do, although you won’t actually get a copy until April. My mum is planning on giving everyone printouts of the email they send you when you’ve bought a book as a Christmas present. Which sounds sensible to me.
Season of Secrets was called The Green Man for most of the time I was writing it, although I knew it wasn’t going to end up with that name, as there are a lot of books out there called that already. I christened it The Midnight Hunter, which I thought sounded dramatic and exciting. Scholastic agreed, but said they wanted something quieter and more poetic. We spent several months pulling bits of our hair out and emailing each other titles, and in the end we came up with Season of Secrets.
I’m afraid I don’t know what it’s going to look like in other countries, or when it’s going to be coming out.
I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of it though.
